The Vortex is the best restaurant and bar and a local icon in Midtown Atlanta, an area with a lot of chain restaurants. The burgers are really excellent, especially the high-quality sirloin patties. All the sandwiches and sides are great though. Service is also really impressive. The staff are always friendly and quick. Looking forward to eating here again!

Food was delicious!! The Vortex beers were great! Service in the other hand was less than stellar. It was a very empty crowd with only 6 tables and two servers. I could have done another beer if anyone would have been around to ask, and the time between being served, her checking in, and then at the end of the meal waiting for a box and a check was less than acceptable.Good food, cool place, Iâ€™m curious to see what service is like in prime time.

So I just went here today with my wife and had a blast. The atmosphere is awesome if your into the punk rock/skull type vibes. The staff was friendly and really help when we ordered. The menu had a lot to choose from. Everything about the place was just really cool. We are planning on coming back again

Depends on the date! If they'd enjoy a quirky, low lit, not-quite-dive bar that has rich foods and great beverage options, go for it! :) (I, personally, would love it for a date. But it really really depends on the tastes and sensibilities of the person.)

2 apps two meals and several drinks had us at about 107 after tip but we called out on purpuse portion sizes are HUGE
